The Lunar New Year is based on the Chinese zodiac, which assigns an animal to each year in a 12-year cycle.

This year, 2024, is the Year of the Dragon.

People born in the Year of the Dragon are known for being strong, creative and independent.

One of the most important traditions during the Lunar New Year is the giving of red envelopes, which contain money.

It’s believed that giving red envelopes will bring good luck.

Another popular tradition is eating dumplings, which are shaped like gold ingots and are said to bring wealth and prosperity.

So, if you celebrate the Lunar New Year, remember to spend time with your loved ones, give out red envelopes, and enjoy some delicious dumplings!
